Hey all! This week we are doing a quick 2-point perspective drawing. I was inspired by internet sensation Paul Heaston‘s incredible drawings of everyday things using amazing perspectives. He goes up to using 5-point perspectives just with a pen and paper; it is truly incredible and I would recommend checking him out.
On the tech-side of things, these last two weeks I created significantly shorter videos. I am wondering if the folks reading and watching these blogs prefer the short and snappy videos with less background information over the longer, more informative videos. Feedback is appreciated!
I hope you like my perspective living-room drawing. I use a little bit of hatching, a technique I talked about last week. I love how much overlap in styles and techniques there are in the art world.

Love a good slice of life drawing, looks great Riley! I’d love to see a scanned final version of the piece. I enjoy your quickly-paced videos but I think you’re a great speaker and have lots to offer information-wise, so adding an extra few minutes of background knowledge is always welcome :^)

This is awesome! I remember doing similar exercises in art classes! This reminds me of some videos I saw online, where people will draw a perspective drawing of a room with a piece of string attached to a centre point on the page. I think doing it this way, makes it easier to visualize and helps get the perspective right. Even though you look like you are already a natural 🙂

BRO, it is insane that you are becoming a language teacher as your proficiency in art is beyond belief. The works you make seem so simple as your expertise with art proceeds you. Honestly have been deeply impressed by this blog as you are so unassuming and would never boast your abilities on any subject. Great work Picasso!
